Because every child deserves the chance to take part, and every family deserves the chance to make memories....

Our Mission Statement

At Working Wonders North East, we believe that hard-working families should not have to miss out on opportunities, experiences, and support simply because they are living on a limited income.

Our mission is to provide practical financial assistance to working families across the North East with a household income of £35,000 or less, helping them access opportunities and support that can improve family wellbeing, reduce stress, and create lasting memories.

Through donations from individuals, businesses, and community supporters, we aim to fund educational opportunities, school trips, children's activities, respite breaks, emergency household support, essential car repairs, and other exceptional circumstances that may not be considered essential by traditional support services but can make a significant difference to a family's quality of life.

We aspire to create a platform where generous donors can make one-off or regular contributions, or choose to directly support specific needs. For example, a donor may choose to help fund a child's school trip, support a family respite break, assist with a vital car repair that allows a parent to continue working, or contribute towards emergency support during times of hardship.

Working Wonders North East exists to bridge the gap for families who work hard every day but often do not qualify for traditional assistance schemes. By connecting communities, businesses and donors with families in need, we aim to ensure that no child misses out on opportunities and no family faces preventable hardship alone.

Our vision is a North East where every working family has the opportunity to thrive, create positive memories, and access support when they need it most.

We are currently working toward charitable status and should have updates soon

Current Status...

𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗪𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝘀 𝗡𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗵 𝗘𝗮𝘀𝘁 is a new charitable initiative that I am currently developing, with the goal of achieving registered charity status in the future. This is the beginning of an exciting journey to support hard-working families on lower incomes across the North East, helping them access opportunities, experiences and support that may otherwise be out of reach. As we grow, I look forward to connecting with trustees, partners, supporters and like-minded individuals who share a passion for creating brighter futures and stronger communities.

What does the future look like...

Making it possible for a child to join their classmates on a school trip, creating memories and opportunities that might otherwise be missed.

Donate to support local families, apply for assistance yourself, or refer a family who could benefit from a helping hand.
